1853 - 21st December 1921

After a brief illness the death occurred suddenly last week of  Mr Michael Connolly of 28 Eyre Street, Chesterfield.The funeral took place at Spital Cemetery on Saturday, the Reverend Father J Corr officiated.

The chief-mourners were :- Mrs M Connolly (widow), Mr & Mrs Robinson, Mr & Mrs Hoskin, Mr and Mrs Hall (sons in law and daughters), Mr & Mrs J Connolly (son and daughter in law) Birmingham, Mr and Mrs S Connolly (brother and sister in law) Stonegravels, Mrs B Griffiths (sister) Widnes, Mrs H Goodwin (sister in law), Misses A Renshaw and K Fletcher (grand daughters), Mr T Mullarkey, Widnes, Mr J Griffiths, Widnes, Mr D Herberts, Mr and Mrs Rush, Bolsover, Mr J Lynch, Chester, Miss A Lynch, New Whittington, Mr and Mrs M Craven, Chesterfield, Mr and Mrs Ryan, Stonegravels, Mr and Mrs J Lavender, Stonegravels, Mrs G Steeples (nephews and nieces), Mrs Collins, New Whittington, Mr A Rooney, Barrow Hill.

The following officiated as bearers :- Messrs J Canavan, ? O'Brien, J Herring, D Wagg, W Cheetham and H Goodwin.
