in Ireland about 1814. He married Ellen McHUGH on March 9th
1843 and they had at least five children. Patrick died on 1st
April 1874 from gastro-enteritis.

Bridget,
Michael, Stephen, Mary and Ellen were born in Lisnagroobe
Townland, Kiltullagh Parish, County Roscommon. All except Ellen
travelled to England where Michael and Stephen settled in Chesterfield,
Derbyshire. Mary married in Widnes, lived in Chesterfield for
a short time and then returned to Widnes. Bridget married in
Ireland and moved to Widnes. Stephen mysteriously acquired an
'e' in his surname after arriving in Chesterfield.
