lives in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and is a great grandson of Michael Connolly
(1853-1921).

Unstone Methodist Chapel
|
This is a desirable residence now but in the past the
top part of the building was the chapel and the caretaker lived in the quarters
below, where the present owner has a double garage. In 1891 the Bannister
family's address was the Methodist Union Room. I don't know whether that
means Emily's parents, brothers and sisters lived here but I do know that
my parents did so in 1950/52.

Middle Handley
This wilderness is the resting place of Sam and Kate Hall
and is to be found at Middle Handley between New Whittington and
Eckington. |

Dronfield Cemetery
This is the resting place of Albert and Blanche Bradshaw,
and in the neighbouring plot, Fred and Emily Cooper. |

Boythorpe Cemetery
In the foreground the flowerpot bears the names of John
Thomas Connolley and his wife. Unfortunately, Ellen Ann's name appears as
Helen, but since the names are painted on rather than engraved this could
be put right quite easily by any of her descendants who is handy with a brush.
Behind lie John Thomas's brother Stephen and his wife Bertha Louisa who lived
at 58 Sunny Springs. |

The Robinson's Grave
And here's to you, Albert Robinson, buried at Boythorpe
along with his daughter Nellie and her husband Patrick Gilhooly. |
