Richard & Gloria Haynes decided to walk the Ridgeway footpath, a distance of 85 miles, from Ivinghoe Beacon to Overton Hill. Unable to do the whole trip in one go they divided the walk into eight stages and invited Lesley and Michael to join them. These pages are a record of the walk, the things they saw and events that happened to them on the way.

One year after completing the walk they celebrated by spending a day walking north from the southern end.
